    Mary’s Eyes was inspired by a metal tamata plaque from Preveli Monastery in Crete, Greece, where Eliana’s family is from. Halfway through burn, one will be able to see her eyes light up from within. Handmade of 100% beeswax. Approximate burn time is 36 hours.

    Eliana Glass is a New York City-based jazz singer and artist. The work featured here are beeswax candles, handmade from her designs and illustrations. Most of these are inspired by places she's been; for the series featured here, a trip to the island of Crete, Greece, where her family originated. These are poetic representational sculptures. They emit a warm, mild, honey scent. They burn slowly.
