A fantastic new version of this longtime collaborative style, originally developed with Stand Up Comedy as part of its No. 46 Contemporary Remediation collection. This new addition to the collection is a two-piece style, able to be worn separately. These one-of-a-kind pieces are sourced from vintage blazers, and remade into a cropped suit jacket, paired with a variation on the original Demimoore Bag. 

This bag is something of a cross between apron, backpack, and utility vest. Adjustable canvas straps, large, lined, exterior pockets. Instead of interior zip pockets, this features roomy, hidden slip pockets made with the original silky lining of the coat. A button closure on the bag portion is also new. Its success lies in the balance—literally, as an object that distributes weight and proportion with perfect harmony; conceptually, as a commodity that appears both useless and useful, is fanciful and practical, that reflects both a nostalgic moment and an innovative hypothesis. These swim shorts feature BLESS's 25-year jubilee print. Fully lined, with elastic and drawstring waistband. The fabric is an unusual feel, very silky.

Not just a rock. Not just a glass. An object of fascination, derision, humor, and delight. Highly impractical, but so delightful. This glassware makes you think when you sip. The glass portion screws into the threaded rock for a solid foundation, and for easy cleaning, so there's something practical there, we guess. One of our favorite objects ever from Bless. The No. 77 collection is about workers, of all kinds and stripes. They've produced this decorative tribute tin, in acknowledgment of the individuals that work within their own studio, and in honor of the brands 25th year. The object is embossed with a few of their signature objects and designs, and notated on the lid with a few of their more memorable phrases describing their collections: "10 Years of Themelessness" "Always Stress with BLESS". Perfect for your favorite BLESSHead.

This one has been around for a while, but still a very rare find. Seatpadding is a domestic object that addresses the dilemma of dreary, but sometimes necessary plastic furniture. Take the humble patio chair, which is fairly standard in its measurements, and quite upsetting to look at while it's naked. Take instead this seat covering, which is anything but humble; it's in fact exceedingly clever, cool, and unexpected. Everything you would want in a great house guest. It's two layers of fabric—printed cotton in pedestrian brick motif, with a custom woven tapestry on the other side. In between is upholstery padding in three distinct sections (seat, back, head), providing structure, shape, and maximum comfort to an object that normally offers not much but pain. One could conceivably toss this cover on any number of chair-like manifestations and be successful. Reversible.

New in their series of domestic objects, linens, curtains, examinations of home and travel and friendships and work life and how it all comes together to bring comfort and memories to bear, even as time marches relentlessly forward. This set is two panels, image taken on holiday in Marseille, France. A view out the window on to another world, a new way of dreaming. The bottoms are weighted, good for either draping or a nice, even hang.

2022 marked the 25th anniversary of BLESS. Since 1997, Desiree Heiss and Ines Kaag have been working together on numerous transdisciplinary projects. Dubbing themselves ‘situation designers,’ their products blend fashion, art, design, architecture, business and social practice, always aiming to create an equilibrium between mental and physical exertion. Driven by the ambition to create objects for everyday use, BLESS defines her practice and products as a way of life—based on the firm belief that one can shape life today in a way that creates a future worth living in.

The third publication of the Paris and Berlin based designers is one of the three outcomes of the project A Year with… BLESS N°72 BLESSlet, with which KW Institute for Contemporary Art honored the anniversary. The publication encompasses BLESS’s collection and projects from 2010 until 2022, with written reflections on their innovative and witty work by Douglas Fogle and Hanneke Skerath, Anna Gritz and Krist Gruijthuijsen, Nakako Hayashi, Tom McCarthy, and Jeppe Ugelvig.
